Student Forum Now Open! main image

We’re excited to announce that the TopUniversities.com student forum is now open! Why is this so exciting? Well, because it means our audience of students around the world can now connect directly with one another, and also with us.

Why use the student forums? Here are four reasons to join up now...

1. Get university application advice

One thing you can use the student forum for is to get advice from other students to help you during the university application process. This could mean speaking to students already on a course you’re considering, getting advice from those who’ve been through the admissions interviews, or just making sure you’ve submitted all the right information. And you can also share your news when you make that final decision and get your offer of a place!

2. Find out about studying abroad

With such an international group of users, the TopUniversities student forum is also an especially good place to find out about studying abroad in different locations around the world. Struggling to choose between New York and Chicago? Use the forum to connect with students who are already in those cities. Unsure about the student visa process for Australia? Ask someone who’s already been through it. (If that ‘someone’ is you, please do share your insights!)

3. Connect with international students

As well as getting advice during the weeks and months leading up to starting a university course, and/or moving to a new location, the student forum can also provide ongoing support. You may find it helpful to share your experiences (both good and not-so-good) with others – whether in the same location or elsewhere. As well as being able to pass on useful practical tips and knowledge, this is also about creating an international students support network. If you’re like me, you’ll probably also just find it interesting hearing about what it’s like to live in different places – and you never know when those international connections will come in handy!

4. Share your student life experiences

Leading on from this last point, you can use the student forum just simply to share your experiences of student life. Maybe you’ve just attended a great postgraduate conference and feel the (highly admirable) urge to pass on some of what you learned. Maybe you’re wondering whether every student canteen in the world serves equally lumpy gravy as your own. Or perhaps you’ve just come up with a hil-ar-ious chemistry joke and want to test it out... (Just remember: keep it clean and be respectful.)

Raring to get started? How to use the forum:
