Last question - WHAT caused this recent position update for only a minority of schools ?

I'm a layman observer and I realized how a minority of ranked universities got their positons updated from June 2017 to October 2017 (not the normal yearly update). Most schools stayed at the exactly same position, a few went few positions up or down, very few like the German school of interest went almost 100 places down (while it's going up in all other rankings which I can find, the QS position is now by far the worst).

Did you change your data provider, do various subjects continuesly flow in over the year, so that there are more than only yearly updates, or what happened from June to October ?  Thank you.

Hi Steffen, the three universities whose ranking positions changed (The University of Surrey, University of Essex and TU Dresden) had requested post-publication changes due to their faculty (and sometimes student) figures. We spent some time reviewing their claims before deciding to implement these changes.
