More info on the methodology to develop the QS Latin American Ranking.

How does QS obtain the data of "Faculty staff with Ph.D" and "Faculty/Student ratio"? Does each university provide the information on a yearly basis? If so, what happens with institutions that do not provide this information??
thanks.
Erwin
Hi Erwin,
Hi Erwin,
Most of the universities provide the data directly on a yearly basis. Whenever the information is not provided, we use the data from the own institution’s website and cross check against public sources, such as the governmental database from their respective ministries of education.
Here is a link to some of the data sources being used by QS: http://www.iu.qs.com/university-rankings/links/
Hope this helps!
