Why does the University of Chile NOT appear on the "Economics & Econometrics" ranking?

As an undergraduate student at the former, I can't understand how our school of Economics doesn't appear on the previously mentioned ranking. According to various specialized sources, our school's faculty is the most academically active in Chile and Latin America, with the biggest ammount and most cited papers published in top journals. We even have the 2 most cited Economists in Chile among our top faculty. Every year graduate students are accepted at top 5 - 10 Economics PhDs and a lot of leaders in the economic world studied economics at our school, including the current President of our Central Bank. It would be wondefull to have someone of the QS team to inform in which area of the ranking we are having a poor performance.

Hi Marco, sorry you were disappointed by the lack of inclusion of the University of Chile in the economics ranking. It may be that the university isn't eligible for the ranking or doesn't produce enough highly cited research. Please email [email protected] as they will be able to provide further insight into this.
