Living in Montpellier, Nice, Marseilles

Hello,
I'm a second year French student and applying to do my year abroad but I'm having difficult deciding where I want to go. I am interested in Montpellier, Nice and Marseilles and wanted to ask anyone who has lived in these places how they found it and if they had any advice about living there?
