For those interested in studying in Latin America, it might be of interest to check out the second annual QS University Rankings: Latin America tables which focus on the top 250 institutions in 19 Central and South American countries.
These university rankings showcase the dynamic universities in the region, and 40% of the top 250 were young universities that were founded within the last 50 years.
