This MEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering course delivers strong academic content conveyed with a factual focus, with the aim of preparing you to take on the challenges present in the many fields of engineering and science which employ electrical and electronic engineering graduates. Electrical and electronic engineers (EEE) design, develop and implement a multiplicity of systems associated with electrical and electronic engineering. On the electrical side, they could be involved in the generation, transmission and control of electrical energy or machine design and the implementation power drive systems which links to power electronic engineering. EEE engineers are hugely involved in the expanding world of electrical vehicle design and make enormous contributions in terms of technological innovation and advancement in a range of other specialised fields; for example, aerospace systems, civil engineering in projects such as high-speed train design and development.

A level: AAB-ABB to include Mathematics and one from Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Engineering, Further Mathematics, Computer Science, Computing or Design Tech. Excludes General Studies. GCSE: Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and Mathematics, or specified equivalents. For information regarding what might amount to ‘specified equivalents. BTEC: DDD-DDM in an Engineering subject, to include Merits in 'Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems' and 'Further Engineering Mathematics' units. Access Grades: The Access to HE Diploma to include 30 Level 3 credits all at merit or above in Mathematics or Physical Science units, plus GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 or above.

Coventry University offers flexibility with full-time and part-time study, multiple course start times, as well as online learning . There are also campuses in London and Scarborough as well as Coventry. They also offer some blended learning options that mix face-to-face and online teaching.   

 

Full-time postgraduate courses take a year to complete on average, but part-time and online learning courses may take longer. A part-time course can be split over 24 months and an online course even longer, being more flexible and adapting to a student’s needs. The majority of their postgraduate courses have an entry requirement of an undergraduate degree award of 2.2 or above, in some cases a relevant or related degree and in some cases work experience is considered as well.
