The College of Medicine was established at Umm Al-Qura University in 1996 AD, and the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at Umm Al-Qura University was developed and updated in September 2016 AD, to be on a global and integrated level, resulting in a distinguished class of Umm Al-Qura University doctors, through a contract with University College London, which is one of the The best medical colleges in the world.

The mission of the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program at Umm Al-Qura University is “to provide medical education of the highest quality in accordance with national and international standards to develop the capabilities of doctors to meet health needs within Makkah Al-Mukarramah and in society in general, and to prepare students to be ready to enter postgraduate training to expand their competencies, In addition to supporting scientific research.”

Therefore, the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program was designed to comply with the directions of the Saudi medical education framework  (SaudiMed).Which was approved by the Ministry of Education in January 2015, which is concerned with teaching medicine based on the basics shown in the following figure to equip students with the necessary attributes for their future as doctors.
