About Catholic University of New Spain

The Catholic University of New Spain is a private higher education institution based in Miami, Florida. Established by a distinguished group of scholars from around the world, the University has at its core Catholic values and principles. The University offers certificate, master’s, and doctoral programs in a wide range of fields through an innovative methodology anchored on a decentralized network of learning pods. UCNE’s programs are offered in person, online, and in hybrid modalities. Faculty members are both accomplished practitioners and leading researchers in their fields. UCNE’s visiting faculty program brings some of the greatest minds to our classrooms and ensures a healthy flow of ideas and theories from other institutions of higher learning.

The Catholic University of New Spain integrates a rich cultural life in all its programs. UCNE students are exposed to a wide range of public lectures by international policy leaders and can attend important industry events in several countries. One of the flagship programs of the University is the “Bernardo de Galvez” Cultural Center and the Noble Company of Bernardo de Galvez. The Center organizes conferences, public lectures, and supports research, dealing with Hispanic culture and heritage.

Students are supported in their spiritual growth by a team of dedicated chaplains who help them develop their ethical reasoning with a strong background on Catholic principles. Many of our chaplains engage in missionary work as part of the social engagement and outreach of the University.

Our wide network of partnerships includes both public and private universities in more than ten countries and thus allows us to provide our students with a wide range of opportunities in terms of research, student mobility, and job placement. UCNE also have agreements with several National Academies, considered to be the pinnacle of scholarly achievement for researchers, and thus provides an excellent springboard for our graduate students. Our two peer-reviewed journals are also available to our advanced undergraduate and graduate students.

The Catholic University of New Spain is accredited by the Agencia Internacional de Calidad Educativa (AICE) and is a member of the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). All the credentials and degrees issued by the Catholic University of New Spain are notarized with the Hage Apostille by the Florida Department of State and are instantly verifiable with secure blockchain technology though our partnership with Accreditta.

University information

  • Admission to UCNE is highly selective and it is by invitation only. Candidates are recommended by regional delegates, professors, and members of the advisory board for consideration. Recommended candidates are then evaluated by a panel which includes faculty members, members of the advisory board, and a member of the team of chaplains.

Council of Mentors

The University places great value on tradition and experience. Our council of mentor serves as a bridge between the past, the present, and the future by pairing our postgraduate students with prominent statemen, seasoned business leaders, and accomplished scholars to support them to make the transition from students to practitioners, leaders, and scholars.
