B.S. in Health Information Systems

The mission of the Health Information Systems Program is to prepare high caliber participants in knowledge-based society; and to motivate creativity, excellence in research, education, and community service in health information system.

Program Goals:

• Provides graduates with solid and diversified knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare them as skilled health information specialists.
• Provides an educational experience that develops the student’s intellectual ability in order to facilitate the development of independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Provides graduates with various cognitive and communication skills that promote them to succeed in their professional careers through team work, proactive involvement, critical thinking, ethical behavior and responsibility, and influential roles in their organizations and communities.
• Identifies opportunities for research in the field and utilize its results and findings in their profession practice.
• Provides graduates with self-professional development and life-long learning skills.
• Provides graduates with ability to pursue their postgraduate studies and succeed in academic and research careers.
