A psychometric test is a special exam aimed at testing the moral readiness of an applicant to become a doctor and determining the level of implementation of personal competencies: ethics, intelligence, stress resistance, communication, dedication, focus on the quality of educational activities, cooperation, competitiveness and the presence of such qualities as empathy, feeling responsibility and duty, heightened craving for justice, compassion, humanity.

The doctoral programmes at West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University typically spans for a duration of three years and are aimed at training personnel for scientific, pedagogical and (or) professional activities.
