The Single Cycle Master’s Degree in Dentistry qualify for the dental profession of dentist – School of Medicine and Surgery - of the University of Milano-Bicocca. The Master's Degree has a duration of six years and involves the acquisition of 360 universitary credits (CFU) for the achievement of the degree.
There are 27 examinations related with the acquisition of 342 CFU. The remaining credits will be obtained through other training activities such as internships, traineeships, elective activities and the final examination. Indicatively, the exams are scheduled 4 for the first year, 8 for the second year, 6 for the third year, 4 for the fourth year, 5 for the fifth year. Sixth year is full in practice.
The course of study is entered with a national access test: the ranking is formulated based on the outcome of a multiple choice test and possible assessment of the qualifications. Access is obtained after verification of the possession of the curricular requirements.
The official language of the course is Italian. Some course lessons may be held in English. At the end of the studies, the Master's Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics is issued. The title allows access to Second Level Masters, PhD or Specialization Schools. Graduates in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics have the opportunity to enroll in the professional register of Physicians Surgeons and Dentists, after passing the State Examination.
The Degree Course aims to provide a solid cultural and methodological preparation in the dental disciplines that will allow graduates to quickly enter the world of work expressing full mastery in the treatment of dental diseases thanks to the extensive professional background acquired in the last three years of the course, spent in contact with patients belonging to the Dental Clinic. Graduates in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics will also be able at the end of the curriculum to interact with colleagues in other medical-surgical disciplines in the treatment of patients with systemic problems. The specific curricular path also guarantees the training of the graduate to start an autonomous professional activity right from the outset in the world of work.
