Software - which can be read in both Aalborg and Copenhagen (AAU CPH) - is an education for you who dream of programming systems that pave the way for new, crucial IT solutions. You will gain knowledge, tools and strong competencies in the field, and can look forward to becoming a key player in the digitalisation of our society.  The program combines theory and practice from the first to the last semester and consists of a number of basic courses, including mathematics, programming, system development and computer architecture - and you will also become acquainted with key topics such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT). Programming is, of course, the focal point of the study. You will learn in depth about the most commonly used forms of programming: imperative and object-oriented programming. In that context, you will also learn to identify user needs and interfaces and validate your own solutions.

Aalborg University offers interdisciplinary studies where bachelor courses (basic study programmes) are followed by masters and Ph.D. courses (subsequent specialisation). The university offers 10 different undergraduate programmes in English across five faculties:

  • The Faculty of Humanities
  • The Technical Faculty of IT and Design
  • The Faculty of Social Sciences

Each of the five faculties has its own schools with full time bachelor education spanning over three years and designed to prepare students for master and Ph.D. education at a high academic and international level.
