M.Tech. or Master of Technology in Renewable Energy is a 2-year post-graduation course, which includes 4 semesters with each semester lasting for 6 months. The M.Tech. in Renewable Energy program aims to give students real-world technical expertise in strategic renewable energy disciplines as well as an in-depth understanding of various fields such as solar, tidal, wind energy, biogas, and biomass.
Looking at the worldwide requirement of converting the dependencies of economies on sustainable and environment-friendly technology, an M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering provides an in-depth knowledge of various domains of renewable energy. This program is equipped with advanced tools and a lab setup equipped with advanced testing kits and the provision of engaging the students in real-time field visits to perform feasibility studies of various renewable energy systems. This Renewable Energy program offers a blend of placement opportunities in various verticals of Renewable Energy Engineering to work as an Energy Specialist, Energy Consultant, Project Manager, Lead Energy Auditor (ISO-50001 global level), Renewable Energy Products Manager, RE Project Developer etc.
Learners will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in Renewable Energy Technology, Solar Thermal Systems, Wind Energy Systems, Biomass Conversion Technology, Project and Financial Management, Smart Grid etc. Students can work in funded research projects and consultancy projects from Government and other funding agencies with a wide opportunity to go for higher studies.

Renewable Energy Program is designed for students with engineering (in the field of Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Energy, Engineering, Physics, and Mechanical) and Science (Physics) backgrounds. Students on successful completion of M.Tech.
