General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student in the M. Mus program. (piano accompaniment), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;
  • have obtained, in their previous studies, an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
  • demonstrate a good knowledge of French. All students who have obtained their undergraduate degree (or its equivalent) in a non-French-speaking institution must take one of the French tests accepted by the University of Montreal (see the website of the Center for Written Communication : http://cce.umontreal.ca. The result of the test is not eliminatory, but may lead to the imposition of a certain number of French courses deemed necessary for the success of the program.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of English.
