The Doctorate program in Sciences in Mathematics, from the University Center of Exact Sciences and Engineering of the University of Guadalajara, is a full-time program, with a school-based modality, face-to-face, with a focus on research, and includes the following training areas:

Basic math
Applied mathematics.

The program lasts for four years, during which the student will take twelve subjects: one selective private basic training, four open electives and eight thesis seminars. Finally, the student will present and defend a thesis to obtain the degree.

Submit the master's degree or master's degree exam certificate in Mathematics, Physics or areas related to the program, the latter in the opinion of the Postgraduate Academic Board;
Having accredited, with a minimum average of eighty, with an original certificate or comparable document, the previous studies, as the case may be;
Check knowledge of the English language, with level B1 of the Common European Framework, or its equivalent;
Submit a curriculum summary with relevant supporting documents;
Letter of explanation of reasons to study the program;
Submit a written research project proposal, endorsed by a professor from the Academic Nucleus of the Program, where he accepts the possibility of being his thesis director;
Make a technical presentation and reasons before the Admission Committee formed by professors of the program, appointed by the Academic Board, so that it assesses the profile of the Postgraduate applicant; this Committee will establish the characteristics and format of the technical presentation;
The applicant must present and pass a knowledge exam in the chosen area; The content and format of the exam will be prepared by a committee appointed by the Academic Board.
