General objective:

Train human resources of high academic level, who, with professional ethics and criteria of excellence, are capable of carrying out research, teaching, dissemination and networking in a specific area of Physics, who are qualified to continue with doctoral studies and contribute to the scientific and/or technological development of the region.
Operate through an updated and flexible Curriculum, which offers students various specialization options in both theoretical and experimental areas.

Particular objectives:

Improve the terminal efficiency of students through the timely appointment of a thesis director.
Consolidate existing lines of research through an increase in scientific production, with the participation of students and improve the physical infrastructure for teaching and research.
Create appropriate mechanisms that allow the incorporation of outstanding undergraduate students.

Have the title or degree certificate in some degree related to the postgraduate degree and proof of completion of social service of the degree. In the event that the applicant has presented his/her professional evaluation of the degree without the requirement of having proof of completion of social service, the applicant must submit, attached to his/her degree certificate, a copy of said proof. In any case, the Academic Board will officially issue the list of related degrees, which may be modified when the Academic Board itself deems it necessary;
Accredit, by means of an official document, command of the English language equivalent, at least, to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
The other requirements that are indicated in the respective call, defined by the Academic Board.
