The Master's Degree in City Science (MCCd) proposes a solid structural construction towards a transdisciplinary vision, to understand urban processes, a necessary condition for the knowledge of complex systems such as cities.  It is oriented towards research and promotes technological development, innovation and the application of research on the path towards the transformation of knowledge of urban interventions.
This confluence allows the creation of its own theoretical-conceptual framework, which allows explaining, designing and applying models for the knowledge and transformation of cities.
To this end, the University Center of Art, Architecture and Design (CUAAD) and the University Center of Tonalá (CUT) collaborate with the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the IPN (CINVESTAV) and the University's City Science Laboratory. of Guadalajara (MIT CityScience Network).

  • Bachelor's degree or graduation certificate and proof of completion of social service.
  • Certificate of undergraduate studies with an average higher than 80 (eighty) or its equivalence.
  • Demonstrate a minimum B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) preferably in the English language or its equivalent.
  • Submit results of the general knowledge exam that the Academic Board deems most convenient.
  • Pass the preparatory course.
  • Submit a letter explaining the reasons for pursuing the master's degree.
  • Approve the other requirements published in the respective call.
