The Master's Degree in Neuropsychology has the background of having been part of the Postgraduate Psychology with orientations: Social, Health, Organizational, Educational and Neuropsychology from 2006 when it began its academic activity.  


Three generations graduated from said Postgraduate course with guidance:  2006-2008, 2008-2010 and 2010-2012. 


As of the suppression of the Psychology program with orientation in Neuropsychology in 2012, the study plan of the Master's Degree in Neuropsychology was generated, being recognized by the CONACyT Padrón de Excelencia, since that date 3 generations have graduated during the following periods:   2013 -2015,  2015-2017 and  2017-2019  Currently in process the seventh generation 2019-2021 
The Neuropsychology program has positioned itself as one of the reference postgraduate courses in the area in the West of the country, given the clinical scenario that corresponds to the OPD Hospital Civil de Guadalajara Fray Antonio Alcalde and the support of the Meritorious University of Guadalajara. We highlight the academic body, which consists of 3 professors with post doctorate and the Coordinator with a Master's degree in Neuropsychology and Doctorate, 7 professors who are members of the National System of Researchers, one of them with level III.  
We are formed as the Consolidated Body 63 Neuro and Experimental and Clinical Psychobiology. Additionally, we have a group of high-level academic co-responsible, several of them international, who have constantly provided feedback with seminars, courses, select topics that contribute to excellence in the training of human resources of our students. 
Being a professionalizing program, it is presented as an area of ​​opportunity and the acquisition of skills of the students enrolled in carrying out constant hospital clinical practice, by favoring linkage and mobility based on letters of intent or collaboration agreements with various Universities. that have generated joint work, palpable in the conclusion of several theses and scientific publications, such as articles, conference proceedings and book chapters, among others.   On the other hand, the constant participation of teachers and students has also been favored, through presentations at various academic events, both national and international.
