Master in Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering program aims to produce graduates who master the engineering principles, agricultural science in a broad sense, design theory, computational techniques, optimization and modeling to be able to play a role as academics, researchers, business actors and or policy makers related to agricultural machinery, food and energy. This program helps graduates to be able to identify, understand, explain, evaluate/analyze problems using scientific approaches and methods, able to develop science and technology through research activities to produce innovative, tested, and beneficial works for the community, able to solve problems through design, construction, and equipment testing, and solve problems through natural resource management and production processes with an inter or multidisciplinary approach.

Bachelor’s Degree in IPB University is a four-year program. Since 2005, IPB University has offered the major-minor curriculum that allows students to choose from more than 500 combinations of competencies. This opportunity allows scholars of IPB University to obtain double competencies, even a double degree to enable them to compete in the job market. Their competencies are not limited to the activities of on-farm agriculture, but also off-farm agricultural activities which cover, among others, agribusiness and agro-industry.
