Animal Production Technology program aims in organizing and developing undergraduate education programs in the field of livestock production technology that are adaptive to technological developments. It aims to produce animal husbandry graduates who have scientific competence, managerial skills and skills, and have an entrepreneurial spirit in the field of livestock production technology that are able to compete at national and international levels. It also aims to develop a curriculum for undergraduate study programs in the field of animal husbandry production technology that ensures livestock welfare, food safety of animal origin, genetic and environmental sustainability. This program focuses on developing research in the field of animal husbandry production technology by taking into account the welfare of livestock, food safety of animal origin, preservation of genetic and environmental resources, which can be published at national and international levels.

Bachelor’s Degree in IPB University is a four-year program. Since 2005, IPB University has offered the major-minor curriculum that allows students to choose from more than 500 combinations of competencies. This opportunity allows scholars of IPB University to obtain double competencies, even a double degree to enable them to compete in the job market. Their competencies are not limited to the activities of on-farm agriculture, but also off-farm agricultural activities which cover, among others, agribusiness and agro-industry.
