Actuaria program aims to help students with the mastery of knowledge in educating, developing, and disseminating actuarial science in order to create scholars who are able to master the concept, apply, make appropriate decisions based on risk analysis on agriculture, marine, bioindustry, insurance, finance, and various other industrial activities. The curriculum is designed so that students have the main competencies in the actuarial field in harmony with the professional actuary exam curriculum Indonesian Actuary Union (PAI) and curriculum in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, University of Waterloo, Canada. With the IPB University major-minor curriculum system, students are also likely to have additional competencies that support the professionalism of actuaries, such as applied statistics, information systems, economics and development studies, agricultural economics, communication, and functional management.

Bachelor’s Degree in IPB University is a four-year program. Since 2005, IPB University has offered the major-minor curriculum that allows students to choose from more than 500 combinations of competencies. This opportunity allows scholars of IPB University to obtain double competencies, even a double degree to enable them to compete in the job market. Their competencies are not limited to the activities of on-farm agriculture, but also off-farm agricultural activities which cover, among others, agribusiness and agro-industry.

The Graduate School of IPB University or currently known as SPs, conducts postgraduate educational programs with 65 available majors for the Master’s program and 43 available majors for the Doctoral program.
