Master in Animal Biomedical Sciences (Medical Microbiology) program aims to produce graduates who master the advanced knowledge in microbiology such as bacteriology, virology, mycology and immunology; collect, summarize, synthesize, criticize and evaluate scientific information from various sources; concern for ethical and problematic issues related to medical microbiology. This program helps graduates to be able to apply knowledge in the fields of microbiology, bacteriology, virology, mycology and immunology to solve animal and environmental health problems caused by microbial pathogens. Graduates also will be able to manage research and development that is beneficial to society and science and able to get national and international recognition.

Bachelor’s Degree in IPB University is a four-year program. Since 2005, IPB University has offered the major-minor curriculum that allows students to choose from more than 500 combinations of competencies. This opportunity allows scholars of IPB University to obtain double competencies, even a double degree to enable them to compete in the job market. Their competencies are not limited to the activities of on-farm agriculture, but also off-farm agricultural activities which cover, among others, agribusiness and agro-industry.
