Master in Statistics

The Master's in Statistics at the Universidad del Valle was created to respond to the training needs in advanced statistical methods for statistical and non-statistical professionals in the region. In this master's degree, the student develops critical and autonomous thinking that allows him to access new developments in the area of ​​statistics and data analysis. The Master in Statistics is offered under two study plans: Research and deepening.
Deepening, oriented to the acquisition of skills and knowledge in advanced statistical methods for the solution of disciplinary, interdisciplinary or professional problems, through the appropriation and adequate implementation of new data analysis methodologies.
Research, whose purpose is to develop in the student the skills that enable him to propose and actively participate in research projects in the area of ​​statistics aimed at the development of new methodologies or innovation on existing methodologies.
